The Fittan is a non-drivable vehicle based on the 1975 Fiat/Seat 133.

Suggested to be owned by Pena, the Fittan assumes the design of a green city car, featuring worn bodywork, wheels with only one hubcap on, and a rear-wheel drive, rear-engined (RR) layout (based on the positioning of its engine air vent and the 133's configuration).

The Fittan serves as the sole traffic vehicle along the dirt roads of Alivieska on weekdays and hours outside the Rally Sprint Race during the weekends, traveling back and forth between Rykipohja and Peräjärvi. At each end of its route, the car either turns around at the excavation site at Rykipohja or circles around the town roads at the Peräjärvi end before heading back.

The car often poses a danger to the player or their vehicle whenever they travel along the dirt paths (in a similar vein to the Techno Victra on the highway), since there is little warning of the car's approach or direction. The car maintains a consistently high speed of approximately 60-70 km/h, takes corners quickly (although it does slow down when turning at intersections), and does not stop or swerve around to avoid the player or any NPCs during normal travel. From dusk to dawn, the illuminating headlights and taillights of the Fittan, commonly visible in the distance around the lake, could be used to indicate the rough position of the car.

Hitchhiking

The Fittan is also a mode of transport for the player. They can hitchhike in the car in order to reach specific points in Alivieska, with the car's default stopping point being in front of the player's home. To access the car, the player must first press O to perform a thumbs up gesture as the Fittan approaches, signaling for Pena to stop his car. The player can then walk up to the car and open its passenger side door, allowing the player to enter the car and enter "Passenger Mode" by pressing ⏎ while the passenger mode icon  icon appears as the player is positioned on the passenger side seat. Once O is pressed again to toggle the hitchhike gesture off, Pena will resume driving. Pressing O during travels will prompt Pena to stop the car, allowing the player to exit the vehicle at any point in Pena's travel path.

As the player jumps in the car, Pena will continue his journey, to eventually turn into Kesselinperäntie. If the player jumps into the Fittan between Kesselinperä and Peräjärvi, while the car is heading into Peräjärvi, Pena will calmly go to Peräjärvi, then turn back there and go to Kesselinperä.

While riding in the car, the player can manipulate Pena's driving speed; pressing M to give the finger will prompt Pena to drive faster without restriction, while tapping O will slow down the car, particularly helpful when cornering at higher speeds. When used competently, these controls can speed up travel in the Fittan, but also comes with the increased risk of Pena violently crashing the car due to excessive speeds, killing both himself and the player, mostly due because the car lacks any seatbelts.

Towing ropes can also be attached to the Fittan, allowing the car to pull lighter vehicles to the player's home, the repair shop, Peräjärvi, etc.. The player should enter the vehicle that is being towed to ensure it doesn't veer off the dirt roads, causing damage and possibly getting both of the cars stuck.

Trivia

• The name "Fittan" is derived from the Swedish word for "pussy" or "the pussy".
• In one interaction dialog with Teimo at his shop, he describes his observations of Pena's Fittan, pointing out that the car constantly loops around the dirt roads and never stops, not even for fuel (assuming you don't count all the times you hitch a ride with him, and/or block him in his tracks.). Teimo speculates that Pena has either been producing his own fuel at home (most likely with a scotch alcohol of some kind since its octane is similar to petrol and this checks out since Pena is an alcoholic) or stealing fuel from other cars.
• Originally, upon loading a new game or save, Pena's Fittan will always respawn at Rykipohja (at the excavation site) and begin traveling counterclockwise to Peräjärvi and back, before looping back. The 22.02.2023 update reportedly introduced randomization of the car's the starting position, making trips along the dirt road less predictable, but the change was stealthy rolled back before being reintroduced in the 03.12.2023 update.
• Due to the somewhat aggressive nature of Pena's driving coupled with limitations in his pathfinding, his car may occasionally be observed wildly spinning out and veering off course from the road when negotiating sharper corners at full speed, then attempting to overcompensate by driving in circles (forwards or backwards) in full throttle until it makes it way back to the road to resume its journey.
  • This behavior is most apparent when the car turns back at the excavation site in Rykipohja; it is commonly seen driving recklessly into the quarry pit, making several unpredictable off-road circles and burnouts, before finding it way back out to head for Peräjärvi. This appears to be a late-stage change as the car was formerly programmed to make careful U-turns near the end of the dirt road, past the excavation site.
• The Fittan would receive several cosmetic refinements later in its existence. This includes the addition of license plates (registered DUJ-822), engine vents, a speedometer, and "clunking" noises whenever Pena shifts the car into first gear, suggesting that the first gear is asynchronous.
• The Fittan is one of the only three vehicles with a RR (rear engine, rear wheel drive) configuration, the others one being the Svoboda and bus.
• If the player passes out, there is a chance to wake up in the passenger seat of the Fittan where Pena will be giving you a ride home.
