My Summer Car Wiki

Fishgame is a fishing simulator game that can be played on the Mikropekka computer at home. It can be downloaded from the Files section of Con-Line BBS; the file size is 140 kilobytes, which means that downloading the game at the highest possible baud rate will take about 3 minutes and 53 seconds. The game can be accessed with the fishgame command and, as with most other games, terminated by pressing Q. The goal of the game is to make as much money from fishing as possible before time runs out.

Gameplay[]

The objective of the game is to fish up items from the body of water by repeatedly tapping the left and right arrow keys. The game ends once all of the beers have been drunk; each bottle lasts for one minute of real time. The money amount at the bottom right of the screen acts as the game's scoring system. Gameplay of the the fish game can be found here.

Items[]

There are 12 different items that can be fished up; they are either regular or big ones. Big items increase/decrease the money amount more than regular items.

Trivia[]

  • The "UKK" ("Urho Kalava Kekkonen") is a reference to Urho Kaleva Kekkonen, the 8th president of Finland, who was a known fisherman and hunter.
    • Catching this fish will unlock the "Catch-A-Fish" achievement.
    • The jingle that plays after catching the "UKK" is part of Maamme, Finland's national anthem.
  • "Fishcock" is a reference to Kalakukko, a traditional Finnish food from the Savonia region. Though no rooster is involved in the food, "fishcock" is a literal translation of it's Finnish name.
