The fuel pump (

: Polttoainepumppu) is a car part which can be found inside the garage at home. It is attached to the engine block with 2x7mm bolts.

The fuel pump can be worn down with use, which will affect the rate at which fuel is pumped from the tank. A failing fuel pump clogs up, supplying fuel to the engine in short erratic bursts and costing most of the engine power. A worn fuel pump can also cause the engine to stall at idle. If the fuel pump is damaged or broken it may be replaced at the Fleetari Repair Shop.
