My Summer Car Wiki

Grillisimulaattori (Grill simulator) is a food stand simulator game that can be played on the Mikropekka computer at home. It can be downloaded from the Files section of Con-Line BBS; the file size is 860 kilobytes, which means that downloading the game at the highest possible baud rate will take about 11 minutes and 57 seconds. The game can be accessed with the grilli command and, as with most other games, terminated by pressing Q. The goal of the game is to serve as many people correctly as possible.

The objective of the game is to correctly serve a seemingly endless stream of customers; if the player serves their customers incorrectly three times, the game ends. The entire game is in Finnish, which makes it very difficult for non-Finnish speakers to understand what the characters are saying. Gameplay of the the grill simulator can be found here and closely resembles an old Finnish classic "Inva taxi", where you drove badly speaking, handicapped people around town.

There are nine different characters in the game, and each of them has a unique way of speaking. The characters' voices are designed to be incomprehensible, some more than others:

  • Aulis - The man who is wearing a green undershirt sounds tense and constipated.
  • Jussimies - The man with the beaten up face sounds hyperactive.
  • Mooses - The man who looks like Moses speaks in a booming, enigmatic way.
  • Mummero - The grandma sounds very mumbly.
  • Pappa - The grandpa sounds very out of breath.
  • Puli - The bum sounds drunk.
  • Pullukka - The fat man sounds wobbly.
  • Saatana - Satan sounds deep and gravely.
  • Taksimies - The taxi driver sounds very tired.
