The 1947 Masser Y can be found participating in a drag racing event on Friday between 6 AM and 10 PM. The car is very powerful and seems to have been specifically designed for straight-line acceleration, much like the Covina. The Masser, despite its size, is the fastest accelerating vehicle in My Summer Car.
The car is modeled after a Morris Series Y-based dragster, more precisely, the Finnish modified 10cwt Wheelie Wagon seen in the right-hand image.
Trivia[]
- These kinds of Morris vans are called "Wheelie Wagons". They have been legendary in Finnish drag racing since the 1970s when the first Morris van was modded for drag racing by Lasse Ahlfors and Peter Nordström.
- The Circular Connection logo on the side is a reference to Direct Connection, a performance division of Chrysler up until the rebrand to Mopar Performance Parts in 1987[1].
- The car is less powerful than the Covina but as it is lighter, it has faster acceleration.
- The car has a very loud bass sound which makes it clearly audible from a distance.
