My Winter Car is the upcoming sequel to My Summer Car that is in development by Amistech Games. The game's story will continue on from My Summer Car.

On December 30, 2024, Toplessgun released the My Winter Car website featuring the Corris Rivett with the caption, "Long-awaited winter sequel to immensely popular My Summer Car!".

Features[]

Not a lot is known about the game and some might be subject to change, but confirmed features are:

Setting[]

My Winter Car will be set before the year 2000, and the month the game takes place in will be January. ^[1]

Home location[]

Instead of living in the parents' house, the player can choose to rent an apartment in Peräjärvi. The player, however, is still able to use the parents' house like in My Summer Car. ^[1]

Save importing[]

Topless confirmed that it may be possible to load a My Summer Car save into My Winter Car, and it having effects on the story of My Winter Car. Some items will be transferred, but money is confirmed to not be. ^[2]

If the CD player and marker lights were bought in MSC, they will appear on the Sorbett in MWC. ^[3]

Main job[]

A new main job has been revealed to exist, however what exactly it is are unknown. It will not be a delivery job, and will feature a punch clock. The player is paid for the hours they work at a certain amount and will be required to clock in and out of work Monday through Friday. If the player comes in late, it is required that they work later to get the same amount of hours in. The player can also choose to work overtime up to 3 additional hours a day. Also, the player can be fired permanently if they do not work enough hours per week. ^[4]

There is currently a system where if the player forgets to clock out of work from 17-18, it will automatically clock out of you. ^[5]
The player's boss will check on the player to see if he is there while working. According to Toplessgun, this could lead to the player getting fired. ^[6]

Ice track race and rally[]

The lake will be completely frozen over which the player can drive over. ^[7]
The rally will return in MWC ^[8] and will take place once every two weeks during the weekend. ^[9]
Ice track racing will be available to the player. ^[8]
- The ice track race will take place during the weekend that the rally does not, Friday through Sunday. ^[10]

Vehicle systems[]

Snow will slow down the vehicle, and crashing into snow banked areas can cause the vehicle to get stuck. ^[11]
Cold oil will cause increased wear on the engine under load. Different oil grades are available. ^[10]
Window defrosting and ice scraping mechanics for the Rivett and the Sorbett are available, by using the heater unit and the wiper motors. ^[12]
Diesel engines will be hard to start with the cold weather.

Player temperature[]

MWC will feature a complex player body temperature system.
- The player's current temperature will be decided using the outside temperature, the clothing they are wearing, and the amount of exercise they get. ^[2]
  - Exercising will cause the player to sweat, decreasing body temperature at a faster rate. ^[2]
- A mercury thermometer will be available to the player, allowing them to check the temperature.^[2] The current temperature will also be available using the TV's teletext system.
The player can change clothes between "indoor clothing", and light and heavy winter clothing. Different sets of clothes can be taken and the player can change between them on the go. These clothes will help the player either heat up or cool down based on the temperature and heat sources nearby. ^[2]
The player can last in the worst case scenario 10-15 minutes in game (Real time, not to be confused with in game time) but it depends on the clothing and weather. ^[13]

Parents' house[]

The parent's house can be used like in MSC. ^[1] The garage heating is separated from the house, and has electric radiators.
Water pipes can freeze due to the temperature. ^[2]
The fireplace can be used to heat up the house instead of electric heating, excluding the garage, shower and sauna. ^[14]

Flea market[]

The flea market will work as an owner operated shop where you pay rent for your table that you can use to sell your items.
The flea market is one of the places where the player can buy parts for their Rivett. There will also be all sorts of useful and useless garbage according to Toplessgun.
The player will be able to buy stuff from other people's tables. It is also confirmed there won't be any discounts or haggling with the sellers.
Toplessgun mentioned, "There is obviously some practical limit on how many different things there can be, those are then randomized."

Inspection[]

Fleetari's services[]

Fleetari mostly engine related NOS standard and tuning parts along with other spare parts. ^[15]
Toplessgun mentioned that the player may be able to call Fleetari for the progress of the Rivett's repair work.
Toplessgun also stated that, "Fleetari waiting times are now linked to the type of work being done. For example, tire jobs and basic engine maintenance happens quick, but for something like car painting and metal work is slow."
The payment for repair order happens after the repair work is done rather then paying to start the repair order.
While Fleetari is doing the repair work, he will take away Rivett's keys from the player until the ordered work is done. Also, the player can't order any new services or repair work from Fleetari until he pays for the previous order.
Parts from Fleetari will come in individual boxes and the parts will be placed into a shopping bag like how Teimo packs groceries.
Fleetari will sell parts such as the engine parts and the suspension parts for the Rivett. Most of the engine parts will come from the parts magazine and the flea market.
- Fleetari has a limited stock of parts, so when you buy all of the parts, the player will not be able to buy more until he restocks.
A vinyl roof option will be added that you can add or its gonna be a factory option that you can remove at Fleetari's for the Rivett.
Possibility of a matte coloring option for painting the Rivett at Fleetari's.
Possibly of a tire repair services at Fleetari's Repair Shop.
It is confirmed that the player can choose how many tires you want to order at Fleetari's, price will be changed based on how many tires you chose.
There is a possibility that the player can rent a heated garage space from Fleetari one week at a time.
Possibility that the player will be able to sell scrap metal to Fleetari.

Others[]

There will be new highway vehicles. Some highway vehicles will stay while other highway vehicles will be replaced.
80 km/h speed limit on the highway rather than 100 km/h.
Permadeath mode will be in My Winter Car exactly like in My Summer Car. ^[16]
Premium spark plugs will be separate instead of being in a box of multiple like the spark plug box in MSC. ^[17]
When you save the game, you skip one hour instead of two hours. This is for better time management.
If a vehicle goes under the ice, it will stay there. There is no way to get the vehicle back if it goes under the ice.
Mail order times are completely random rather than on a set time.
The sauna takes longer to heat up due to the freezing temperatures.
The sun will be at a low angle to due it being winter with the days being short. TG also stated that stars will light up the night sky and that the night sky is brighter then MSC due to the snow and the stars lighting up the sky.
TG notes that in his test save, he is obese due to needing to drive everywhere. This means the player will need to use vehicles a lot more than MSC.
Many of the computer games from MSC will be available in MWC. This also means the computer will be available in MWC.
New and old voice lines will be in My Winter Car from My Summer Car. ^[18]

It is assumed that certain items from the original game that wouldn't make sense to exist in the winter season and they are:

Boats, as most bodies of water would probably be frozen over.
Bug-spray including Wasps and Bees as the insects would not be active in the winter.
Strawberries, as they will die out due to the cold.
Fish, as the lake is iced over, but there may be a chance that ice fishing is added.

Storyline[]

Toplessgun has mentioned that the player will no longer have the "freedom" he has in My Summer Car. ^[19] This will probably be due to the player having to work a full-time job most of the week. Some players have also interpreted this as meaning that the player will have to take care of Suski and her child, but this is however not yet confirmed. It is unknown if the two characters will even appear in the game. Toplessgun also mentioned how he wants an alternative ending where the player will sell the Satsuma to get the Sorbett.

People[]

Suski will probably still be alive, but it is unknown if she will even appear in the game.
Fleetari will still be alive. He will run his shop, rent you a heated garage space and may still be running the race & rally.
Jani & Petteri will most likely be in MWC.
Teimo will still be alive and will be most likely be running his shop and the pub.
Toivo may be absent, dead or alive.
Pena will still be alive and may have a new car.
Sirkka may be absent, dead or alive in MWC.
Ritoranta will still be in MWC if you have not taken his cabin from him In MSC.
Jouko may still be alive as you can make kilju, but it not confirmed if you can sell it.
Lindell will still be alive as he is running the inspection shop in MWC.
Livaloinen will still be alive as you may be able to still sell firewood to him, but is not confirmed if you can sell it.
The Mother & Father of the player may be absent, dead, or alive someplace else as they are confirmed to not appear in the game.
Tohvakka may be absent, dead, or alive in MWC.
The sewage guy may still be alive as you may pump septic tanks in MWC.
Pumping septic tanks may be replaced by a delivery job
The boat guy will be removed or be replaced as the lake is iced over.

Information and lists of the new items coming to My Winter Car are:

Item info[]

Toplessgun stated that, "There also is not maximum limit on the number of CD's, it is dictated mostly by your system RAM." This means you can make unlimited CD's for My Winter Car.
The player will have the ability to make snowballs and throw them.
New items will be available at Teimo's shop along with the Pub. ^[20]
TG said there will only be one type of CD player available.
Balfield from MSC will return in MWC. ^[21]
There will be a usable microwave where the player can use to heat up food. Where exactly it will be is unknown.
Coffee will no longer be an unlimited source of fatigue reduction.
Energy drinks can be bought and they can reduce fatigue from the player.
Studded tires will be present, but chained tires will not be. ^[22]

Confirmed new items that will be in My Winter Car are:

Alarm Clock for waking up on time. You can set what time you want to wake up and fatigue will decrease based on the amount of time the player slept. The alarm clock is battery powered and does not use a lot of energy.
Punch clock for clocking in and out of work.
Energy drinks for reducing fatigue.
First Aid Kit that will be required for inspection.
Sandbags for adding more grip to your car.
Different types of thermostats. Different thermostats will have different thresholds.
Different grades of oil will be added. Winter grade and regular grade is confirmed to be added.
Automatic transmission oil ^[23]
Scratch cards for gambling.

Vehicles[]

Car building[]

Rewritten car building system which allows the player to buy multiple pieces of the same part. This will allow for around 20% better FPS.
Breakable car parts will have visual states which will include scuff marks and sounds which can help the player know when that part needs replacing. It is confirmed that the project car will have a lot more breakable parts and damage states than in MSC. Toplessgun said there is around 50-60% breakable parts in MWC. If the suspension parts are in bad condition they can easily break down at heavy hits. Bad hits also increase the wear of new suspension. Worn down parts causes springs to wear and shocks losing their damping efficiency.
If you do a coil spring swap, the suspension and the drivability will be reduced by a lot.
The player can buy unlimited amounts of spare parts expect for a engine block and a cylinder head. This means that the player can't make spare engines.
Rockers, bearings and pistons will be bought as a set instead of one at the time.
The player can remove pistons while the engine is still in the Rivett.
Rocker arms are now separate from the rocker shaft.
The engine has 5 main bearings instead of 3.

Aftermarket parts[]

TG said there will be a wide selection of different camshafts to chose from for the Rivett.
Confirmed aftermarket parts are different camshafts, exhaust, carbs and pistons for the project car.

Parts magazine[]

Toplessgun says the main source of gathering car parts for the project car will be a classifieds magazine that you can buy once or twice a week.
The catalogue will feature tuning, racing and performance parts. ^[27] However, second hand sellers will mostly sell worn out parts. ^[28]
The player can call the car parts magazine to order and confirm the order of the car parts. However the phone calls are automated and the player does not speak, but rather listens to what the other side is saying. The main point of making phone calls is to trigger the parts orders from the classifieds magazine. ^[29]

Vehicle information[]

Toplessgun mentioned that he wants the same amount of vehicles available in My Winter Car. ^[30]
The Rivett and the Sorbett have a heater unit that you can adjust. Other vehicles like the tractor will have a heater unit, but can't be used as they are "automatic" according to Toplessgun.
The choke will increase the idle speed and different types of oil also affects it.
The player will be able to fit a spare tire in either the Sorbett, Rivett, or both as it is not confirmed which vehicles this will apply to. The spare tire must be small enough to fit in the spare tire space, if it is too big it will not fit in that space. This is also required for inspection.
It is confirmed that either the Sorbett, Rivett, or both which can have randomized license plates.
Different types of tires will be available. There will be studded tires which are the default ones, cheap summer tires which TG said are there for, "laughs and looks," summer Gommer Gobra, and racing tires for snow/ice lap racing. Slicks will not be available as drag racing will not be in My Winter Car.
Teimo's Bike is most likely coming to MWC.

This information are the vehicle information about each car in My Winter Car and they are:

Corris Rivett[]

Main article: Corris Rivett

The project car named Corris Rivett is based off the Ford Taunus TC. In My Winter Car, the player will be able to buy the project car with only the body and a dozen of random parts ^[31], having to get the rest from various other sources. According to Toplessgun, getting all the parts in reasonable condition will be a pain. TG also mentioned how the Rivett is a large heavy car with a low-revving high torque engine.

The starting price of the Rivett will be around 500 mk. The price will be determined based on the different parts that is on the it during the time before you buy it.
There will be a car option tag system on the car which you can decode to help restore it to it's original condition. The car option tag will be randomized when starting a new game.
- If the player manages to restore the Rivett to match the VIN number, the player will have the option to register it as a "historic vehicle".
The VIN on the car does not have to match according to Toplessgun.
The odometer on the car will be randomized between saves.
The Rivett is confirmed to not have a rev limiter but with engine tuning, you can get higher rev limits. For example, if the default normal rev limit is 6500, with engine tuning it could be to 8000 RPM.
The project car will have rear window heating like the Sorbett.
The Rivett is confirmed to have a 2.0.

Trims for the Rivett[]

The project car will have many different types of trim customizations. There is factory trim packages along with dealer options. TG also wants a automatic and manual gearbox swap. The trim types that will be on the players Rivett will be randomized between saves.
- One part confirmed for the higher trim is an item similar to GT rocker cover for the Rivett. ^[32]
The car may possibly have 3-4 trims that the player can spec it out to. ^[33]
- Auxiliary gauges will be part of the trim. ^[34]
Dealer asset parts will also be available if the player can find them. ^[35]
The player can change the interior panel colors by changing each piece. TG also likes the possibility of the player being able to spray paint the panels to change how they look. ^[36]

Sorbett[]

The daily driver named Sorbett, will be available to the player from the beginning of the game. It will be a "boring" 1980s FWD European 5-door hatchback, confirmed to be based off of the Talbot 1510. It may be possible to perform basic maintenance (oil changes, coolant etc. but nothing major) on it. It will be powered by a gasoline engine and feature a "pretty well sized trunk" as well as foldable rear seats. The player could sell the Satsuma to get the Sorbett. This could happen in My Summer Car, but it isn't confirmed yet.

The Sorbett will have cold starts and the battery can die from the cold.
The Sorbett will also have rear window heating along with a heater unit for the temperatures and the snow.
The rear seat can be folded for extra space.

Satsuma[]

The Satsuma is confirmed to not appear in MWC.

Jonnez ES[]

The Jonnez ES will return in MWC.

Gifu and possibly it's replacement[]

The Gifu may return in MWC as it might get replaced.

The company truck is unknown as there is little information about it. If it does get implemented, it will replace the Gifu. We do know so far is that the new company truck will be made by Gifu Trucks.

Ruscko's replacement[]

The Ruscko is confirmed not to return in MWC.

Toplessgun states that, "It is always more fun for the player to experience new different vehicles."
The Ruscko replacement car is unknown as there is very little and possibly outdated information about it. Toplessgun stated that he wanted the Ruscko's replacement car to be a new 90's car, but this was quite some time ago so he probably changed his mind.

Ferndale's replacement[]

The Ferndale will be returning as a static prop. ^[37]

The Ferndale's replacement is a 1960s, automatic transmission, 2-door hardtop American car. At the moment is painted red and is fitted with cheap rims and winter tires. The exact model of the car is not yet reveled, though we know it is called the "Bachglotz". It may be the 60's Mercury Monterey as Topless likes that car and it also fits the description. ^[38] ^[39]

Hayosiko[]

The Hayosiko will be returning as a static prop.

The Hayosiko's replacement will be the Sorbett.

Kekmet and trailer[]

The Kekmet and the trailer are confirmed to appear in MWC.

The Kekmet and the trailer can help the player haul the Rivett's body to places such as the town of Peräjärvi.
It is not confirmed yet if you can still sell firewood to Livaloinen.
The Kekmet has an automatic heater based on the engine temperature. ^[40]

Combine harvester[]

The combine harvester is confirmed to be in MWC. The combine harvester will appear somewhere in the map most likely as a static prop.

EDM 500LX[]

The EDM 500LX fate's still unknown.

Victra (techno)[]

The techno Victra will still be in MWC.

Toplessgun said the green Victra will get some changes on the vehicle. What changes will be made are unknown.

Fittan[]

The Fittan is coming back to MWC which means Pena is coming too. Topless has said Pena might get a new car at some point. ^[41]

Bus[]

The bus is confirmed to be in MWC as Toplessgun once said the bus can partly be used to get to the new job location.

The boat and the roaming boat[]

The boat will get removed as the lake is frozen over, and there for the player can't use the boat. This would also mean the roaming boat will also not return in MWC.

Release date[]

No release date has been published yet, though it supposedly will be released sometime after MSC gets out of early access, which it has. Like MSC, it will most likely be released in early access. My Winter Car will be a separate game. Toplessgun said he wants MWC to be more ready than MSC. Toplessgun has also said that everyone will get the price at the same time meaning no pre-orders. He also wants a trailer before any sort of game page for MWC. Note: the date format is dd/mm/yy.

No information on the release date should be trusted, unless it comes directly from Toplessgun.

At 30-12-2024, Toplessgun released a MSC update transitioning the game away from Early Access. MWC will supposedly somewhere after MSC comes out of early access.

At 28-2-2024, someone emailed Toplessgun and he responded by saying, "Hard to give a estimate, the gameplay mechanics are done probably around 80-90% for Early Access, but overall the game is still missing some audio and graphics mostly. It also depends how much new/unplanned gameplay things I like to add before I release it"

At 12-09-2023, when someone asked, "Will MWC be released in 2024?," Toplessgun replied, "I surely hope so!"

At 08-08-2022, someone asked Toplessgun, "How done is MWC" and his answer was, "About 60-70% done, hard to estimate". This estimation was in comparison to how done MSC was in 2016.

Cost[]

Price will be the same as MSC (€15, $14.99USD). People who own MSC might get a 10% discount for MWC ^[42], and if you do not own either of the games you would possibly be able to buy them as a bundle with a lesser price.

Unemployment benefits form and the flea market:[]

This image shows a unemployment benefit from when you get fired from the main job.

In the background of this image, it shows the flea market with the window sign saying, "Flea Market." It is speculated that the flea market is the vacant shop next to the inspection shop. The flea market also includes a shelf with some items.

in the first box of the unemployment benefit form, from top to bottom it includes the date, last and first name, local address, and phone number. In the second box, from left to right, it includes short form dates like Mon and Tue, first name, and a yes or no checkmark box. There are 4 weeks included in one form meaning that each form is one mouth length. At the last or bottom box, it says if you are still unemployed next to a checkmark box.

Sorbett's dashboard[]

This image shows the Sorbett's interior facing the dashboard. There is an aftermarket gauge underneath the dashboard, and the CD player from My Summer Car is present.

New NPC car[]

This image shows what appears to be a new NPC car. The image displays a red car which is modeled after the 1971 Morris Marina coupe. The car also appears to have a window grille and its license plate is HRM-292.

Item compilation[]

This image is a compilation of upcoming features and items to My Winter Car.

From left to right, there is a sound speaker system that includes 2 speakers and a sound machine, it looks like it is going to be like the CD player where you insert CD's or listen to the radio. Next we have the alarm clock, the alarm appears to have the current time and an on/off switch. Next we have what appears to be a fast food ad. There is a price tag of what it looks like to be either 33 mk, 55 mk, or 99 mk for what it looks like a food deal of a hamburger, fries, and a drink. The company brand is, "PSK." This may take place at the construction site.

Starting from the second row and from left to right is the energy drinks. The energy drinks is going to be a alternative or a replacement to coffee. Next we have what it looks like to be a magazine. This may be the Rivett's parts magazine that the player can order from his phone. Next we have what it looks like some sort of ATM machine screen with a text saying "Ota kortti, ole hyvä" which translates to "Remove card, please". Also visible is the word "saldo" likely preceded by "tilin", which would translate as "account balance". This would indicate some form of debit card mechanics.

On the last row and from left to right, we have some car parts in a box. The first 3 boxes including the one behind the 2 are Auxiliary Shafts that have one of each item in those boxes. Next to it is 3 boxes of Cam Followers. All of these boxes are made by Corris. At the bottom of the transactions screen, we have the Ford Pinto engine that the player can build for the Rivett. It looks like this is the bare body of the engine without the other things such as the gearbox or the alternator. At the bottom right corner, we got a newspaper ad. The newspaper ad has a few mentions of Corris and a mention of Rivett.

New ice racing NPC cars[]

This image shows us 4 cars that we will able to race with. Not much is known about these cars as they are all new upcoming cars. The photo shows all the cars behind a starting or finish line.

Futufon office[]

This image shows us the Futufon office. The Futufon office has their name on the that says, "Futufon Calling Connection". On the corner of the room is a plant and a bubbly chair. The office looks quite detailed meaning that this could be the place that the player might work in.

Frozen lake track:[]

This image appears to be a road or a track that is plowed and covered in snow. This may be the ice race track or the new rally track. The ice race track may be taking place on the airfield or the lake.

The Corris Rivett:

Possible Corris Exterior Leak — Early photo of the Rivett. It includes a detachable rear spoiler and summer tires.

In January 2022, a picture of a car which appears to be the Corris Rivett surfaced on the internet. It is confirmed by Toplessgun himself. Due to the car's worse graphic quality and the lack of interior, the picture is speculated to be of the Rivett very early in development, way before the Christmas 2020 MWC teaser video was made. It includes a detachable rear spoiler, studded or cheap summer tires, and has antennas. Many changes have most likely been made since then.

Rivett's interior[]

This photo shows the full side of the Rivett's dashboard and a bit of the interior. For starters, we got the full dashboard including the dashboard meters which have a yellow backlight. The dashboard meters panel also has a wood finishing. We can also see the steering wheel is the Sport steering wheel by ROYLE. We also see the mouse cursor which is on the heater/blower unit. The gear stick is shorter and has a straighter rod stick rather then the one in the Satsuma. The floor is a yellow carpet and the seats are beige. The body color of the Rivett is a type of light yellow and green shade. Moving to the windshield, we can see that only the sides of the window have snow, but the main part of the windshield don't. This may be due too the heater being on, making the snow on the windshield evaporate.

Rivett's radiator[]

This photo shows what appears to be the Rivett's radiator. This is the basic model as there is no textures. At the bottom, there is the Atlas Motorparts file texture that is likely from MSC.

On January 30, 2023, Toplessgun posted this photo of 2 VW beetles racing on a ice track. The VW beetle in the front has the sponsor SUOMEN KONEMOKA which in My Summer Car made the oil filter. The VW beetles numbers are 39 and they don't have headlights. This may be due to the rules having to strip down the parts. The VW beetles appears to be racing on the ice track.

Punch clock machine[]

On February 15, 2022, Toplessgun posted this photo of a tag card reader. This is a punch clock machine, and it allows the player to clock in and out of work. How it works is that you get out your keycard (in a press of a button like how you take out cigarettes) and you scan the keycard in the punch clock machine.

Speed camera[]

On December 25, 2023, Toplessgun posted this photo of a speed camera. The speed camera will send you a fine for speeding. if you are speeding, the camera will take a picture of your vehicle and you will receive a fine. If you don't have a license plate while the speed camera catches you, there won't be any fine.

A video showing the Rivett being driven around

On Dec 25, 2020, This video from Toplessgun shows the Rivett being driven around. At the start, the sound of the blower/heater is heard. Also the Rivett's engine sounds can be heard. The car seems to have pretty slow acceleration, but that may be due to the car not being revved as much. Throughout the video, the setting seems to be Peräjärvi lake frozen over, then it cuts to the river in Northeastern corner of Peräjärvi, then to the highway, then it goes back to the lake, then highway, then the video stops at the river. The river and the lake both are frozen over, which allows you to drive on them.
