The racing flywheel is a car part which can be bought from the parts catalog at home for 1,495 mk. The racing flywheel weighs less than the stock version, decreasing engine inertia (see notes section below). It is attached to the crankshaft with 6x7mm bolts.

Installation[]

  1. Remove the inspection cover via 4x7mm bolts
  2. Remove the drive gear with 7x6mm bolts
  3. Remove the clutch cover (with attached disc and pressure plate) via the 6x6mm bolts (you can rotate clutch cover by hand)
  4. Remove the old flywheel with 6x7mm bolts
  5. Attach the racing flywheel and reverse the above steps.

Notes[]

The racing flywheel has no practical benefits for the Satsuma due to a bug with UnityCar, which is the system used for vehicle physics. The Satsuma will only rev faster in neutral or when the clutch is held (this is because inertia values = gear values while the car is in gear). Additionally, the lighter mass of the flywheel makes it much easier to stall when starting from a standstill. The engine will also experience catastrophic failure if the throttle is held down while starting.
