Sirkka's house is a place where the player may listen to Sirkka waffle on about various things. It is located just east of the southernmost railroad crossing. The house is somewhat isolated, and not quite fit for an elderly person to be living in alone.

Even though visiting your grandmother in a video game may not sound like the most compelling thing to do, she is a person of mystery and intrigue; sometimes revealing things about people that might not be common knowledge, or lore that is not otherwise told. Other than that, she will give you some cash if you keep pressing the k button which makes you talk to her. Yep, grandmas spoil their maternal grandsons more than their paternal grandsons.

Grandma's house was also likely built in the 1940s. After chatting with her for long enough, Grandma mentions how Valto (the players grandfather) built the house after the war (Continuation War, 1941-1944, the house might've also be built in the 1950s but this is highly unlikely) and worked on the fields. To further prove this claim, you can see that most finnish houses built in the 1940s sport this type of architecture. With this evidence in mind, Alivieska/the Map was probably founded and built in the 1930s-1940s. The only buildings that really stand out in the game are the player's home, Teimo's shop and Fleetari's repair shop. With those buildings looking in greater condition, it's likely that they were built at a later time (1970s-1995)
