The video poker machine inside Pub Nappo isn't securely bolted to the ground. The possibility to steal it remains widely unchanged to stealing the slot machine, albeit it is far more tedious to remove the coins. Stolen video poker machine has from 1,200 to 11,000 mk inside.
Guide[]
First, one has to gain access to the pub. You can open the door during the opening times, or simply break the window. Drive up to the Pub with a vehicle (the Gifu or Kekmet are the best for this) and connect a towing rope from your vehicle to the machine. A little bit of leaning and searching may be required, as the hook is on top of the machine, on the side that is facing the corner of the room.
Once the rope is connected, get into your vehicle and back away from the pub until you see the machine dislodge from the ground. You can then continue to throttle to try to drag it out of the pub or push it out with your hands (default: J
) or a beer case. After the machine leaves pub boundaries, turn the machine onto its back side to reveal a panel with a lock. It can be opened with the screwdriver from the spanner or ratchet set. You won't be able to open the lock until the machine leaves the pub.
The money can then be taken out of the cassettes. Rather than getting the full amount with one click like with the slot machine, you have to continuously click the cassettes to reveal 1-15 mk per click. The panel will close automatically once all the money has been taken out of the machine. You don't have to take all the money in one go - the machine won't despawn and will remain where you left it, though it can be pushed around by vehicles and some NPCs.
Risks[]
While there is no risk of getting into trouble with the police, there is still a risk of Teimo or other NPCs catching the player performing the theft. Depending on what damages the player caused, the charge of money will be different. If caught, Teimo will charge 2,760 mk per broken window, and 5,000 mk for the stolen machine, resulting in compensation of up to 10,520 mk for both windows and machine.
To minimize the risks, it is advised to perform this job around 03:00-04:00 in the morning. This way the pub will be already closed, Teimo is far away and it's not pitch dark so you'll able to notice roaming NPCs more easily (there are up to 3 of them around). Walk around Peräjärvi and knock out all the sleepwalkers you'll able to find, (for the tradeoff that you'll get sent to Jail for attempted manslaughter.) check that window guy is absent and you are ready for the job. The act of stealing is considered the moment when the machine crosses pub boundaries. After this, no one cares what you do with it - you can loot it in front of Teimo and he'll say nothing.
Trivia[]
- After the successful theft of the machine, it will not despawn, but rather stay in the world. You can take it home and put it up as a trophy, or put it on Jani's car and watch him drive off with it.
- This job is unavailable if you have previously stolen the slot machine in your save before Update on 29.05.2020.
