Valto

Valto is the player's deceased grandfather. He is mentioned by his wife, Sirkka. He suffered from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) after serving in the Continuation War, making him try to drink away the "horrible memories". After that he built the house and cleared the fields on the other side of the road, but later passed away due to heavy drinking, which probably led to Sirkka's contempt for drinkers.

Valto fought in Syväri (Svir), which is located in eastern Karelia.
